Once or twice a year, The Agency Advantage
issues a required update. These updates provide changes to
your Agency Advantage program that keep you up to
date with all the latest enhancements, features, and program
corrections. Requiring users to update assures that you
have these changes and enhances our support department's
ability to assist you when you call.
One of the newest additions to The Agency
Advantage is the
email function. Now, you can email images and attachments
directly from your program.

Required
Update to Version 2.028
Many of you have already been notified that you must update your
Agency Advantage program before a
certain date. If you haven't already updated your program,
then you need to very soon. If you do not update the program
before the cutoff date your Agency Advantage program will
inform you that
the version has expired and you that you need to contact support
for assistance.
Installing the WinAA Update

All users must exit out of The Agency Advantage. The
latest update makes changes to your database. If users are
still in the program, then these changes can not take place and the
update will not install correctly.

At the main menu of The Agency Advantage, go to
Utilities, Internet Updates. Follow the instructions to
download the update to your server. You can do this from any
workstation. It does not have to be the server.

After the download has completed, you'll be
asked to restart The Agency Advantage. Close the program and then reopen
it. A window will appear informing you that there is an update available. Follow the
instructions on your screen to install the update.

After the update has installed on this
computer, close The Agency Advantage and go to the next computer. When
you open The Agency Advantage on this computer it will once again tell
you that there is an update available. Follow the instructions
on your screen to install the update.

Repeat step 4 until all computers have
been updated. You may then allow the rest of the users to
continue using The Agency Advantage.
New Email
Function
The Agency Advantage has a new feature that enables you
to send emails directly from the program. You can attach files
from the Attachments and Images tabs along with
any other file you may have on your computer.
You can send emails, pictures, Word or Adobe
documents by clicking on the Email button below your list of
Attachments or Images. This will take you to another screen
where you can edit the contents of the email.
You may send emails without attachments by clicking on the
email button near the customer's email address. A copy
of the email message is retained on the Attachments Tab.
You are no longer required to have Outlook
or Outlook Express installed on your computer to use the email
function. See Related
