Happy New Year!
2007 promises to be an exciting year for Agency
Advantage customers. The release of Version 3 has brought many new
features to the software. We hope you find them very useful.
In this month's newsletter I'll be discussing two changes
in Version 3: the AUTOB class and the switch to PDF formatting for
images.
If you have a question or topic you would like
explained, a story to share, or just a quick useful tip, we'd love to
hear from you. Please send your responses to tina@agencyadvantage.com.

Business / Commercial Auto - AUTOB
The Agency Advantage is enhancing its commercial lines
capabilities. Many of those enhancements are included in Version 3. You may have already noticed the lack
of a CAUTO class. It has been replaced by AUTOB to better reflect the
ACORD industry standards.
When creating a commercial auto policy, instead of
choosing Commercial Auto, choose the 'Other' option, then AUTOB from the
list. If you do not have AUTOB in the list, simply go to Miscellaneous
Classes under System Setup and add the AUTOB class.
The AUTOB class has additional functionality and more
detailed coverage information. For more information on this change and
AUTOB read the article on our website.
New Scanned Images Format
The release of Version 3 also brings some changes to
document scanning. The format of the scanned document has been changed
from the graphic “tif” format, to the more versatile “pdf” format. These
are the files that are associated with Adobe Reader and Acrobat. Saving
images in this format allows you take advantage of other Agency Advantage
features like packaging scanned items together with forms for emailing or
application submission.
When you complete a form and want to save it you choose
File, Save to WinAA. You will be
given an option to save it as an Attachment or to Email the form. If you
choose Email it will create a new email with the form already attached.
Choosing Attachment will place a copy of the form, in pdf format and
ready to email, on the customer’s Attachments Tab, in the Documents
folder.
Pdf packaging allows you to easily assemble the
completed ACORD forms, scanned images and any other items in pdf format
into a single pdf file with the documents in any order you want, ready to
be emailed to a company, customer, lienholder, certificate holder or any
other third party.
