From the Editor
Once again The Agency Advantage sales team invites
you to visit their booth at one of the many tradeshows they will
attend this year. Late June and July’s trade show schedule is shown on the
right.
If you are a 6.5 Agency Advantage User [DOS based
system], I'd like to take this opportunity to inform you about our
upcoming conversion deadline. Until September 1st we will
continue to convert your 6.5 data free of charge. After September 1st
there will be a fee to convert your data. Not only does the Windows
version offer more features, but we are regularly update this program
to meet the demands of our agents and advancing technology.
If you have a question or topic you would like
explained, a story to share, or just a quick useful tip, we'd love to
hear from you. Please send your responses to tina@agencyadvantage.com.

How to.. Copy and Paste
There are two very useful shortcut keys you can use on your
computer that will allow you to copy and paste within The Agency Advantage.
Ctrl+C = Copy (The Ctrl key and the C key at
same time)
Ctrl+V = Paste (The Ctrl key and the V key at same time)
These shortcuts actually work in any windows application.
Simply locate the text that you wish to copy,
highlight it, then press Ctrl+C on your keyboard.

In this example we're copying the VIN
for this vehicle.
Next, go to the field or document where you would like to paste. In this case we're going to paste it in a Note.
Place your cursor where you would like the text pasted.

Next press Ctrl+V on your keyboard.

Supported Download Companies
The Agency Advantage supports hundreds of download
companies. All of our companies are certified for personal downloads,
but there are a few that support commercial downloads as well.
Our website has the
complete list
of supported companies.
Most of the companies have either an I, T, or D next
to their name. "I" stands for IVANS. This means they send their download
files to an IVANS mailbox. The file sits in this mailbox until you
initialize the IVANS program to pick them up.
"T" stands for TEAM-UP. TEAM-UP is a program
similar to IVANS, however, it runs automatically for you. "D" stands for
direct and it means that the company has their own software or you must
download the files from their website.
Most of our companies use IVANS, however, TEAM-UP is
becoming increasingly popular because of their high level of customer
service.
These are a few of the companies certified for
commercial downloads:
-
Progressive
-
Allied
-
Unitrin & Unitrin Specialty Lines
-
Westfield Insurance
-
Liberty Agency Markets
-
Merchants Insurance Group
-
Hartford Commercial (under construction but will
be available by the end of the month)
If you currently write business with a company but
do not see it on the list, we can generally get a company certified
within a few days. For more information
email our support staff.
