Quick Note About Producer Codes | New Computers and Vista | New
Commercial Lines Download Companies
From the Editor
The Vista operating system has become a standard on
new machines for most manufacturers. However, one of the problems is
that they come with Vista Home. In an office environment, it is
important to have Vista Business or above. More is explained
below. Also, don't forget about the importance of
understanding
Producer Codes and saving time with
Company Downloads. We
are adding more and more companies daily!
If you have a question or topic you would like
explained, a story to share, or just a quick useful tip, we'd love to
hear from you. Please send your responses to tina@agencyadvantage.com.

Quick Note About Producer Codes
Producer Codes should only be used when you use
split commissions. If your agency does not use split commissions, then
you should continue using the CSR Code as usual and leave Producer Code
blank.
Learn more about Producer Codes.
New Computers and Vista
Computers from Dell,
Gateway, HP, etc. typically come out of the box with a Vista Home
operating system unless ordered with a different version. This can be a
problem for programs operating in a network environment, including WinAA.
Vista Home lacks essential networking protocols and securities and was not
designed for running business applications over a local network.
When purchasing a new computer for
use with The Agency Advantage, remember to request Vista
Business Edition.
By purchasing a Vista Home computer,
your upgrade options are limited to Vista Ultimate. The Microsoft upgrade paths
are explained in more detail on their website.
