Premium Financing Specialists Integration | XP
Add-on - Vista Inspirat
From the Editor
The 2008 year is well underway and The Agency
Advantage promises to bring you more exciting new features. This month
we are starting by announcing integration with Premium Financing Specialists.
This is a great way to increase your agency's efficiency
with time saving uploads and queries to the PFS website.
Soon, we'll start including articles about Customer
Relationship Management. Along with these articles we'll be adding
more marketing features to the software to help you manage, market, and
retain your customers more effectively.
If you have a question or topic you would like
explained, a story to share, or just a quick useful tip, we'd love to
hear from you. Please send your responses to tina@agencyadvantage.com.

Premium Financing Specialists Becomes
Integration Partner
Effective with version 3.025 of The Agency Advantage, agencies that are PFS customers can now get premium finance quotes by uploading their policy information from The Agency Advantage to the PFS web site. Quotes are processed in real time and finance contracts can be printed and emailed to customers. Quotes can be saved on the PFS web site and/or in The Agency Advantage by printing to the
WinAA PDF printer.
Once the contract is in place, it can be queried and managed directly from the customer’s folder in The Agency Advantage, once again giving the agency access to information in real time.
This integration is available to PFS customers
and is made active by installing additional components of the AA
program. Contact The Agency Advantage to learn how to add this feature.
PFS was founded in 1977 with a single office in Kansas City, Missouri. Now in their thirtieth year they have become the fourth largest premium finance company in the U.S. in premium dollars financed and the largest company in number of accounts financed. While highly competitive on large accounts, PFS also welcomes accounts under $2,000. To contact your local PFS representative visit
www.premiumfinance.com for your regional office contact information.
XP Add-on - Vista Inspirat
We have recently had a few customers using a Windows
XP Add-on called Vista Inspirat. It is a visual interface that makes
your XP computer appear to be running Windows Vista. After careful
consideration we are recommending against installing this patch.
-
It isn't a Microsoft product guaranteed to
interface between the two operating systems.
-
It can make trouble-shooting for the technicians
here at AA and with your other software vendors difficult. It isn't
XP, and it isn't Vista so we cannot support it.
-
We have found it to cause problems re-linking
tables in the Agency Advantage program. Users couldn't connect to
the live database.
It isn't a quick fix or upgrade for the computer; it's simply a visual
patch alongside some other programming changes within the operating
system. These changes are causing intermittent problems within our
software so we will not support computers with this patch installed.
