If you are new to The Agency Advantage this may be your
first mandatory update. We have included some tips below to help you
through the process. This update contains several new features suggested
by our users. We are listening! Send your suggestion
today!

Mandatory Update
Though we make updates available more frequently, twice
a year we require our users to install the latest version of The Agency
Advantage on their computers. We do this to ensure our customers have the
latest features and program enhancements and to enable our support team
to provide the highest level of service.
Soon you'll be getting a warning message indicating
that your software will expire unless you download and install the
update.

You must update your
software before the date on your warning message. If you do not, you will
be unable to access your Agency Advantage software until the update is installed.
It is much easier to install the update BEFORE the cutoff date than after
your software expires. Check out
the Update Boot Camp below for complete instructions.
Update
Boot Camp

Download and install the update when
everyone is out of the program. We recommend installing the update after
hours or before the office opens in the morning.

Begin at one computer. Log in and at the
Main Menu choose Utilities, then Internet Update.

Click Check for Internet Update,
then Download Program Update. This will store the update file on
your server drive in the AA\Updates folder. This gives everyone access to
the file with only one download.

After the download completes, it will ask
you to install the update. After the installation completes, exit the
program on this computer.

Go to the next workstation and start The
Agency Advantage. It will detect the update and prompt you to
install. Repeat this process until you have updated all of the
computers in your office
New
Look
The Agency Advantage Home Screen has a fresh new look
for 2009. Instead of a single menu with a single row of buttons to access
various areas of the program, you'll see a combination of Customer
Lookup, Follow-up Notes, and Announcements. You can still navigate to
different areas of the program (Document Management, Accounting, Reports)
as usual.
While it may take a little time to get acclimated to
the organization and navigation of the new version, we think you will
find it very efficient once you do, so we encourage you to give it a try.

If you decide that you just aren't comfortable with the
new Home Screen and would prefer to learn to use it at a later time, you
can still go back to the Classic Menu.
Click on Setup on the toolbar at the top. Choose
Change Menu Style.
