Many of you have already downloaded and installed the latest version
of The Agency Advantage. It is getting rave reviews, especially the
new Home Screen.
If you are new to The Agency Advantage this may be your
first experience with a mandatory update. The February
newsletter included detailed instructions on how to download and
install the update.
This update contains several new features suggested by
our users. We'll be highlighting them here, providing explanations in this and upcoming issues.

Update
Reminder
Twice a year we require our users to
install the latest version of The Agency Advantage.
If you have not already updated your software, you are
probably receiving a warning message. This message indicates that your version will
expire unless you download and install the update.

To avoid an
interruption in the operation of your Agency Advantage software, you must
download and install the update before the date on your warning message.
To begin the update
process, make certain that everyone is out of the program. This is important! Next, go to Utilities and then Internet
Update. Check for Internet Updates, download the update, and finally, install
it.

Additional Customer Information
The Additional Customer
Information screen is accessed from the customer folder by clicking on the
button next to the phone numbers. The
screen has been revised and organized with tabs to accommodate more
information. The first two tabs contain
the phone numbers and email and the new tabs are explained below.

Linked
Customers
Often there are instances where two customer folders
are related. Commonly, this is when you have both the personal and commercial
accounts for a customer. The Linked Customers feature can help you
quickly navigate between the two. When
you link two customers, a “link” icon appears on both accounts near the
customer name and can be clicked to directly access the related folder.
After clicking the Additional Customer Information button, click
the Linked Customer Folder tab. Choose a customer from the drop
down list that will be linked to the current customer folder.

The customer we are using for this example
is Jerry W. Brown. We want to link him with his business, Brown
Brothers, Inc. After linking the two folders together, there will be a
"Link" button next to the customer's name in both accounts.


Clicking on this "Link" button will toggle
you back and forth between these two customer folders.

Details
Also available on
the Customer Information screen is the customer’s web address and tax identification
number. A web browser will directed
to the customer’s web address when the icon next to the address is
clicked.

This may be
especially useful with commercial accounts.
